Ontology Specification

Abstract

BiodivRisk-Onto is an OWL 2 DL ontology for representing equivalence, subsumption, complementarity and incommensurability relations among TNFD, CSRD/ESRS E4, SBTN and GRI 101. Version 0.3.1 applies conservative framework alignments and documents 12 reproducible interoperability pairs.

Introduction back to ToC

The ontology supports machine-processable comparison of biodiversity-risk disclosure frameworks while preserving distinctions that cannot be translated without information loss. It was developed following the LOT methodology and validated through 15 competency questions. The natural-language questions and 17 executable SPARQL 1.1 query blocks, including a reproducibility control, are available in the [project repository](https://github.com/marcosdzarate/biorisk-ai/blob/main/ontology/competency-questions.md).
